Karting: Sarno is the home track of Campionato Italiano Karting (2nd round)

The second round of Italian Karting National Series, lands in Sarno at Circuito Internazionale Napoli. A sold out paddock and a brand new track layout for the drivers that will engage again the track under the Volcano.  First response and first datas for the new track in perfect racing condition.

 

The Italian National Karting Series know as Campionato Italiano Karting, after the opening arrive in Sarno at Circuito Internazionale Napoli. It is the second of five rounds of the series and again big numbers with 201 drivers as participants plus the side event with the baby champions of Entry Level class. So, in Sarno established the following classes for the race: KZ2, 60 Mini, OK Junior, ACI Kart, ACI Kart Junior e 125 Club. On the first day of Friday, drivers did the first approach to the track with the sessions of Free Practices. On day two, an interesting schedule with the Qualifying Practice and the races as Qualifying Heats. The QP session provided important informations about the timing on the track with the new design. Again, no more the historical 1.7 km or 1699 mt but a modern 1550 mt with the average speed kept. Well, important data is the best time marked by local driver Francesco Celenta (IPK/Tm/Mg) of KZ2 class with 56.476 at 98.67 Km/h av on 1550 meters of the track. Concerning the other categories, the leader board at the end of the day is really full of names with the performances on track that do not express a particular driver as a master of the race. After the Qp session, a really long series of QHeats, 23 races in a day to burn and magnify the second round of Campionato Italiano Karting at Circuito Internazionale Napoli, Sarno’s track. On Sunday, final phase with 2 races as final for each of the 5 classes involved in the event plus the Final race for baby Entry Level class.
